Mikolaj Donder flew into a rage when his victim declined to have sex with Donder's girlfriend in an upstairs bedroom of their Huddersfield Road home, in the early hours of August 27, 2017.

He jumped up naked from the bed and shouted that the man had treated his girlfriend "like a whore", prosecutor Peter Byrne told Sheffield Crown Court, on Friday.

"He punched him in the body and face and kicked him for about five minutes until he was covered in blood," he said.

Mikolaj Donder became angry when the man refused to have sex with his girlfriend at an orgy.

"He told him to "fight back" and then "get on your knees and say sorry" and threatened him with a metal bar."

Donder told a second naked woman, who had been sitting downstairs, that his victim had hit and raped his girlfriend.

When his victim came downstairs, Donder threatened to castrate him. He suffered black eyes, a broken nose which required surgery, a fractured rib and bruising.

The court heard Donder's victim met the couple on a Polish dating website, and had sex with them on two earlier occasions.

Gareth Henderson-Moore, mitigating, said Donder had no convictions for violence, but faces a 75 day prison sentence for dishonesty in Poland.

"He will in due course be repatriated to Poland," he said. "His concern is more for his partner than himself.

"He is a man with a sense of family and community. He assists in the running of a food bank. He works at Sports Direct. He will have to start all over again in Poland."

The court heard he has stopped drinking and attending orgies.

Donder, 45, pleaded guilty to wounding before a trial on December 4, 2019.

The Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Jeremy Richardson QC sentenced Donder to eight months in prison and told him: "You and others like you are perfectly entitled to indulge in a group sexual activity if you so wish - it's not illegal.

"The criminality on this case stems from the violence you perpetrated upon a fellow participant."
