Man stabbed in attack on West Street in Sheffield city centre

The 18-year-old was attacked close to the job centre at around 3.30am.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital and is said to be ‘in the process of being discharged’.
No arrests have yet been made.

Hide AdA police cordon is in place around the crime scene and West Street was closed earlier, but trams and buses are now running again.
South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at around 3.30am by colleagues from the ambulance service after reports of an assault on West Street in Sheffield.
“An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds where he has received medical treatment and is in the process of being discharged.
“No arrests have been made.
“Enquiries are under way.
“The road and tram lines are now re-open.”
