Man stabbed after being chased by men with knife and baseball bat in Sheffield

A man was stabbed after being chased along a Sheffield street by men armed with a knife and baseball bat.

The 20-year-old victim is said to have been chased by two men while a third was in a car.

He was walking home along Ellesmere Road North, Pitsmoor, when he was targeted at 2.25pm on Thursday, September 10.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but is now stable and recovering.

The incident is being treated by the police as a targeted attack.

Three men – two aged 21-year-old and one aged 18 – were arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed after questioning as enquiries continue.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage of it is urged to come forward.
