Man shot in Sheffield street remains in hospital

The 28-year-old man was shot in his upper body in an attack on Staniforth Road, Darnall, just before 5pm on Saturday, January 4.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and underwent emergency surgery.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police said today that the victim remains in hospital while he recovers from the gun attack.
The gunman who opened fire remains at large.
The shooting is being treated as a targeted attack with detectives revealing earlier this week that the victim was walking along Staniforth Road when a number of people got out of two cars and a ‘confrontation’ took place.
He was shot in his upper body during the disturbance.
