Man remains in hospital after crash in Sheffield

A man seriously injured in a collision in Sheffield remains in hospital.

The 86-year-old was driving a red Rover when it was involved in a collision with a red Volkswagen Golf at the junction of Fishponds Road and Spinkhill Road at 12.20pm yesterday.

The Rover driver was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

The driver of the Golf, a 45-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing a roadside drug test.

He was released under investigation.
