Man released under investigation after arrest over Sheffield stabbing

The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 54-year-old man arrived at the Northern General Hospital with stab wounds.
A short time before the injured man arrived at A&E, a disturbance on Lyons Road, Pitsmoor, was reported to South Yorkshire Police.
Detectives believe the man was injured in that incident.

Last Saturday afternoon, a 21-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing on neighbouring Lyons Street.
When officers arrived to deal with the incident, they found evidence that a gun had also been fired in that street.
Nobody has been arrested over the earlier incident.
