A man arrested on suspicion of raping a girl under 13 in Rotherham has been bailed.

The 37-year-old from north Nottinghamshire was quizzed on suspicion of attacking the girl in 2001.

He was arrested as part of Operation Clover, a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.

Two other men have been charged and summoned to court this week as part of Operation Clover.

Bannaras Hussain, 35, of Bridge Close, Goole, was charged with 22 child sexual exploitation offences and his brother, Sageer Hussain, 29, of the same address, was charged with four counts of rape in 2003 of a girl under 16.
