Man jailed over cannabis farm

A MAN has been jailed for nearly four years for running a cannabis factory in the house he was renting.

Son Nguyen, aged 27, was renting a property on John Street, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, when his plants were discovered by police.

Officers found 690 plants at various stages of growth along with a lighting and ventilation system.

Nguyen, from Tottenham, London, pleaded not guilty to the production of cannabis but was found guilty at a hearing at Derby Crown Court and jailed for 42 months.
