Man injured in Chesterfield fight

A man has been charged with assault following a brawl in Chesterfield.

Police were called to reports of a group of people fighting near to the flats on Cauldon Drive, Holme Hall at around 12.30am on Sunday, June 22.

During the disturbance a 20-year-old man was allegedly struck to the ground and was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital with a head injury.

Christopher Blair, 25, of Cauldon Drive, Chesterfield was arrested shortly after and was later charged with wounding with intent.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
