Man in critical condition and fighting for life after being stabbed in the neck
Police are appealing for any witnesses after a man was stabbed in Maltby, Rotherham yesterday (9 May).
At around 11am, emergency services were called to reports that a man was seriously injured in Churchill Avenue. The 30-year-old had suffered a knife wound to his neck and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
A 32-year-old Rotherham man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody.
DCI Simon Palmer said: “Officers have remained in the area over the past 24 hours and searches will continue in Maltby today.
