Man hunted after woman dog walker is attacked near Rother Valley Country Park

A manhunt is under way after a woman walking her dog was attacked close to Rother Valley Country Park.

The woman was walking along a footpath which runs adjacent to the park in Sothall, Sheffield when a man approached her, grabbed her hair and pushed her against a tree.

A police E-fit has now been produced of a man officers want to trace over the incident, which happened at 6.30am on Monday, November 16.

The man was white, aged in his mid-30s, bald, around 5ft 3in tall and slim.

He is believed to have been wearing an orange hi-vis jacket.Police officers investigating the incident want to hear from anyone who may recognise the suspect.

South Yorkshire Police said: “It is reported that a woman was walking her dogs on a footpath that runs adjacent to the park in the Sothall area when a man approached her and assaulted her by grabbing her hair and pushing her against a tree.”
