Man with gun hunted over shop raids in Sheffield

A robber armed with a gun is wanted by the police over two shop raids in Sheffield.

He struck at a pawnbrokers on Angel Street in the city centre just before 4.30pm on Friday, January 3 before fleeing and raiding a hairdressers on Fulwood Road, Broomhill, 15 minutes later.

In both shops he threatened staff with a gun while making demands for cash.He left the pawnbrokers empty-handed but got away with a small amount of cash from the hairdressers.

An E-fit of the armed robber has been released.South Yorkshire Police said: “No one was injured in either of the incidents but those in the shops were understandably left incredibly shaken by what happened.
