Man grabbed and sexually assaulted 14-year-old girl as she walked her dog

Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old was sexually assaulted in South Yorkshire.

At around 5pm on Monday, May 18, a 14-year-old girl was walking her dog down a rural path which runs parallel behind Strafford Walk in Dodworth.

She was then approached by an unknown man who grabbed hold of her and sexually assaulted her.

The man police are looking for is described as white, in his 20s, 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build. He is reported to have long, straight, blond hair, with a quiff at the front.

The assault took place on a rural path off Strafford Walk in Dodworth (photo: Google).

He had a local accent and was wearing a plain, black hooded top with dark grey jogging bottoms.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed it or who has any information about the man.
