Man due to be sentenced for harassment and driving offences in Sheffield

A man who harassed a woman - as well as committing a string of driving offences - has had his case adjourned to finalise a pre-sentence report.

Sheffield Crown Court heard on June 9 how Albert Swierczynski, aged 51, harassed the woman with unwanted phone calls in Sheffield and was caught committing driving offences on Derek Dooley Way, Sheffield, on April 30.

Swierczynski, of Highfield Avenue, Greenford, London, has pleaded guilty to harassment, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and to exceeding the drink-drive limit.

He also indicated guilty pleas to making threatening phone calls and texts in Sheffield and to possessing a knife in a public place on Derek Dooley Way.

Robert Sandford, prosecuting, said the case was listed for sentencing after it was committed from Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Sandford asked for time so a pre-sentence report could be prepared.Recorder Adrian Langdale QC adjourned the case until June 24.
