Man dies after stabbing on Sheffield estate

Just after midnight today (Saturday, August 8), police were called to reports of a stabbing on Horninglow Road in the Firth Park area of Sheffield.

A man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his upper body but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.

Three other men whose ages are not known sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the same incident and are receiving treatment.

An investigation is underway and there will be an increased police presence in the area for the rest of the weekend following a large-scale disturbance immediately after the incident.

Anyone who was on Horninglow Road last night or who has mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 18 of 8 August 2020.
