Man detained after collision outside Sheffield pub

A man has been arrested after a collision outside Sheffield pub.

The incident took place near the Ball pub on Mansfield Road in Intake shortly after 6.30pm this evening (Saturday, July 4).

Police said a man driving a white panel van had collided with a lampost on nearby Sharrard Grove.

Officers said there were no injuries but that a man had been detained at the scene.

Several eyewitnesses reported a large police presence at the scene.
