Man ‘critical’ in Sheffield hospital after collision on London Road pelican crossing

A pedestrian is in hospital in a critical condition after a collision on a pelican crossing in Sheffield.

The 24-year-old man was involved in a collision with a blue Suzuki Jimny on the crossing at the junction of London Road and St Mary’s Gate just after 3pm yesterday.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition today.

Police officers investigating the incident want to hear from witnesses and anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time and has dashcam footage.
