Man charged with stealing from special needs school in Rotherham

A man has been charged over thefts from a special needs school in South Yorkshire.

Kelford School in Kimberworth, Rotherham, which caters for children with complex and severe needs, was reportedly targeted twice between November 7 and 9, with laptops and other electronic devices being taken.

Wayne White, of Upper Clara Street, Rotherham, has been charged with burglary in relation to the alleged incidents.

The 47-year-old was also charged in connection with a burglary at a garage on Wortley Road on November 9, when £2,500 worth of laptops and radios were reportedly taken, and with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of handling stolen goods.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on December 9.
