A man has been charged over a Barnsley assault which left the victim with serious head injuries.

Jamie Zaszlos, 38, of Barnsley Road, Dodworth has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of cocaine following an incident at a taxi rank on Peel Square in Barnsley on October 17 last year.

The assault left a 26-year-old man with serious head injuries.

Zaszlos has been released on police bail and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on May 6, 2021.
