Man charged with knifepoint robbery of Barnsley milkman

Detectives in Barnsley have charged a 30-year-old man in connection with the reported knifepoint robbery of a milkman.

The victim was making deliveries on Canal Street on Wednesday, December 30 when he was attacked with a knife and his vehicle was stolen.

He suffered injuries to his hand, which required 26 stitches.

Daniel Bligh, of no fixed abode, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.

He was been remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, January 27.
