A man was taken to hospital after he was attacked by a 15-strong gang in a Sheffield street.
South Yorkshire Police said he was set upon in Hucklow Road, Firth Park, at 9.15pm on Thursday, July 21.
He as taken to hospital but later released and is now recovering at home.
A 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been bailed pending further inquiries.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police are appealing for information after a man was injured during an attack in the Firth Park area of Sheffield.
"At around 9.15pm on Thursday, police received reports that a man had been assaulted by a group of around 15 men in the Hucklow Road area.
"The man was taken to hospital but his injuries were not found to be serious. He has since been released and is recovering at home.
"A 17-year-old boy from the Firth Park area has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident and has since been bailed.
"Officers are asking for anyone with information to get in touch.
"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened?"
