A 28-year-old man from Doncaster has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and causing criminal damage following an incident at an address in Larch Drive, Armthorpe yesterday.

The street was sealed off yesterday, Thursday July 2, after police and ambulance crews flooded the area following reports of an assault on a man by two other men with weapons.

The victim was taken to hospital following the incident at 11.40am yesterday.

A police spokesman said the arrested man was in police custody.

Yesterday, a spokesman said: "It is reported that two men assaulted a man with weapons.

“The victim sustained injuries to his leg. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

"A scene is in place on Larch Drive and enquiries are continuing.”
