Man arrested after police assault in Sheffield's Endcliffe Park

A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting two police officers in Sheffield’s Endcliffe Park on Tuesday.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said officers received a report of a man being aggressive at the park’s entrance at 4.31pm.

The suspect was detained on suspicion of assaulting two police officers.

A force spokesperson also confirmed a police raid took place on nearby Penrhyn Road in Sharrow on Tuesday after residents reporting seeing a large police presence.
