The Volkwagen Bora was spotted on false number plates and without insurance and failed to pull over when directed by officers in an unmarked car.

South Yorkshire Police said a police chase was mounted.

“The vehicle inevitably failed to to stop, travelling dangerously during the morning traffic towards Doncaster, where it eventually came to stop going to wrong way round a roundabout and coming head on with a heavy goods vehicle,” the force added.
