Man arrested after alleged assault at Sheffield social club

A man was arrested after an alleged assault at a Sheffield social club.

Police were called to the club in Parson Cross at about 12.35am on Sunday, April 10. A South Yorkshire Police Spokesman said: “It is reported that a 67-year-old man was allegedly assaulted at the social club in Halifax Road.

“The man was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.

“A 42-year-old man from Sheffield has been arrested following the incident and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.”

Police have not yet named the club.
