Man and his dog killed after being hit by car while out walking
A man and his dog both died in a collision with a car in Rotherham.

The 76-year-old man and his dog were struck by a red Mercedes SLK on Bawtry Road, Wickersley, at 5.40pm yesterday.
South Yorkshire Police said the car was travelling towards Wickersley roundabout at the time.
The elderly pedestrian and his dog both died at the scene.
A road block was put in place while enquiries were carried out.
Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident 661 of December 12.
