Man, 24, rushed to hospital for treatment after Sheffield city centre attack

A man was taken to hospital for treatment after being attacked in Sheffield city centre yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to King Street at around 5pm on Tuesday, October to reports of an assault.

The 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment but police said his injuries were not believed to be serious.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is now underway after a man was reportedly assaulted in Sheffield city centre yesterday evening (27 October).

“Police were called shortly before 5pm yesterday after being alerted to an altercation inside a business premises in King Street.

“The 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious.”

Police are also appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Winn Gardens on Friday, October 23.

A police spokesperson said: "If you were in the area on Friday afternoon please contact police on 101. The incident number to quote is 436 of 23 October 2020.
