Man, 24, hit by car on pelican crossing in Sheffield horror crash still in critical condition

A pedestrian struck by a car on a pelican crossing in Sheffield remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The 24-year-old was struck as he was on the crossing at the junction of London Road and St Mary’s Gate in Sheffield city centre just after 3pm on Sunday.

He was hit by a blue Suzuki Jimny.

No arrests have been made over the incident.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 491 of March 14.
