Man, 20, suffers 'serious injuries' after being stabbed close to Sheffield primary school

A 20-year-old man was rushed to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after being stabbed close to a Sheffield primary school in broad daylight.

Police were called at around 2:25pm this afternoon (10 September) to reports that a man had been stabbed on Ellesmere Road North, Pitsmoor, close to Byron Wood Primary School.

It is reported the victim had been stabbed by unknown offenders, who then fled the scene, which remains cordoned off this evening while officers investigate.

Police and paramedics attended the incident and the victim was taken to hospital via ambulance to be treated for serious injuries, a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson confirmed.
