Ebony Hodson told how thieves had raided her mum Tricia’s address on Spinkhill Avenue in Richmond last night, Friday, December 13, taking presents Tricia had bought for her 12-year-old son, six-year-old granddaughter and two-month-old grandson.

She has launched a crowdfunding appeal to help Tricia replace the gifts and ensure the youngsters don’t go without this Christmas.

Rose Dunstan, a friend of Tricia’s, said in a message to the culprits: “She can’t even afford to replace them so you have ruined Christmas for her kid and grandkids.”

South Yorkshire Police said the burglary had been reported yesterday at 9.45pm, and asked anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 892 of December 13.
