‘Loving’ South Yorkshire dad, 24, leaves behind little girl after tragic fatal motorbike crash

A ‘loving son’ and ‘loving father’ who died in a motorbike crash in South Yorkshire has been named by the police.

Shane Williams, aged 24, died when he lost control of the silver Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding and collided with trees at the side of the road.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Long Road, Brampton-en-le-Morthen, Rotherham, at 11.36am on Thursday, February 4.

Shane suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family is being supported by specially trained police officers.

In a statement, his loved ones said: “Shane was a loving son and a loving father to his little girl.

“We are all incredibly upset and ask that our privacy be respected.”

Anyone who saw the crash or the motorbike beforehand, including those with dash cam footage, should come forward.Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 304 of February 4.
