And Sheffield has not been immune to shocking incidents involving knives in the last few months.
Figures released earlier this year showed that levels were actually three per cent down in October 2019 to September 2020, as compared with the period October 2018 to September 2019, across South Yorkshire.

5. Club Garden Road
Kamran Khan, died aged 28, after he was found with a fatal stab wound at a property on Club Garden Road, Highfield, Sheffield, near Sharrow, on November 15, 2020. Police recovered a blood-stained knife from a bedroom doorway, and a pathologist established the cause of death was a stab wound to the back of the chest. 6. Woodthorpe Road
Jordan Marples-Douglas, pictured, died after being stabbed at his home on Woodthorpe Road, near Richmond, Sheffield, on March 6, 2020. Ben Jones, aged 26, formerly of Archdale Road, Manor, Sheffield, was sentenced to life imprisonment in April this year after he was found guilty of murdering 23-year-old Jordan. He was ordered to serve a minimum of 21 years before he can be considered for parole.
