Khuram Javed trial: Sheffield murder suspect, 18, due for second appearance in court TODAY

A man accused of the murder of a Sheffield solicitor is due in court today for a second hearing.

Samsul Mohamed, aged 18, of Wolseley Road, Heeley, was charged earlier this week with the murder of 30-year-old Khuram Javed, also known as Khurm and Khurram.

Mr Javed was shot dead in an incident in an alleyway on Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, on Saturday, April 10.

South Yorkshire Police said shots were fired after a confrontation between two parties.

Mohamed appeared before Sheffield magistrates on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Sheffeld Crown Court at 2pm today.

Two other men, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of murder earlier in the police probe and released under investigation.

Mr Javed was a solicitor who worked for London Road-based firm Alison Law Solicitors.

He was a married father-of-two.
