Investigation into theft of shotguns in Sheffield shop raid continues one year on

An investigation into the theft of over 20 shotguns from a shop in Sheffield is continuing – one year on.

The firearms were stolen from All Guns Discounted on Leigh Street, Attercliffe, on Wednesday, January 16.

One year on, South Yorkshire Police confirmed today that enquiries into the theft are still under way.

The force has not yet revealed whether any of the guns have been recovered or used in crimes in the city or elsewhere.

At the time of the shop raid, South Yorkshire Police said recovery of the stolen guns was of the ‘utmost importance’.

The guns were stolen when thieves smashed their way into the shop through the brickwork of an exterior wall.

Steel walls have since been installed at the shop, which stocks guns, knives and ammunition.

A number of arrests have been made over the incident but nobody has yet been charged.
