'I'll kick baby out of your belly:" Shocking attack on pregnant woman captured on TV

A pregnant woman was told by her attacker: “I’ll kick the baby out of your belly,” in a shocking incident captured on camera by TV crews in South Yorkshire.

Viewers of this week’s Channel 4 police reality TV show 999: What’s Your Emergency, which goes behind the scenes at South Yorkshire Police, saw officers attend at the home after reports that a woman had been smashing windows and hurling abuse.

Pcs Josh Hunter and Chelsie Robertshaw raced to the scene where the woman was self-isolating after one of her children had been sent home with coronavirus symptoms.

Telling the officers that she used to be friends with the woman, she said: “She told me she’d kick the baby out of me belly.”

Officers were seen searching for the woman – and were later told she had returned to the property, causing damage to a door and injuring the pregnant mum.

But no charges were brought after the woman chose not to make a statement.
