'If you've got it, we'll find it': Drugs and weapons seized by police in Sheffield

Drugs and weapons have been seized by police officers stopping and searching people on Sheffield streets.

In a warning to drug dealers and those who walk the streets carrying weapons, South Yorkshire Police said: “If you’ve got it, we’ll find it.”

As well as two knives, officers also seized heroin, methadone, spice and cannabis.

Two arrests were also made.

South Yorkshire Police said: “The Burngreave neighbourhood team has sent out a message to those who choose to carry illegal items around the Burngreave and Pitsmoor area after recovering drugs and weapons from the streets this week.

“Over two days the team conducted a number of proactive stop searches in the area as part of our action against drugs and violent crime.

“Our eyes and ears have been in overdrive this week, and we will most certainly be recovering more items in the very near future.”
