Hunt continues for wanted man who absconded from Sheffield hospital

The search for a wanted man who absconded from custody while at a Sheffield hospital is continuing today.

28-year-old Ashley Gibson is wanted for escaping lawful custody after absconding from Northern General Hospital at 9.34pm on April 12.

South Yorkshire Police launched an appeal, asking for members of the public to help them find Gibson, earlier this month.

Today, a spokesperson for the Sheffield North East Neighbourhood Policing Team reiterated the force’s appeal.

Have you seen Ashley Gibson?

They said: “We still need your help to trace wanted man, Ashley Gibson.

“We believe that Gibson remains in the North East of Sheffield has links to the Fox Hill and surrounding areas.

“Gibson, 28, is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of big build and has short hair. He has a tribal tattoo on his forearm, and ‘GIBO’ also tattooed on his arm.”
