Hundreds of cannabis plants found by South Yorkshire Police in property raids

South Yorkshire Police have busted three cannabis farms in Barnsley that were collectively housing hundreds of the illegal plants.
Officers from the Barnsley CID Tasking Team and the Barnsley South East Neighbourhood Policing Team performed the raids on three homes in the town, after they received intelligence from members of the community, that properties were growing cannabis.

Hide AdPolice found 143 cannabis plants after conducting a warrant at a home on Station Road in Hoyland yesterday.
While hundreds more plants were found by officers in Stairfoot, after 367 plants were located in a property on Conway Street and another 53 plants were secured during a raid on Eldon Street North.
28-year-old man, Besnik Kryeziu, has been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, due to the hundreds of plants found at a property on Station Road.
He has been charged and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, on June 19, 2020.

Police encourage people to report signs of drug activity, such as a heavy smell of cannabis, blacked out windows or excessive condensation, via their website or by calling 101.
