Huge armed police raid at Sheffield flat with man and woman arrested at the scene

Police arrested a man and a woman after a huge raid at a property in Sheffield yesterday morning.

At around 9am on Thursday, (10 September) Sheffield North West Neighbourhood officers executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at an address in Exeter Drive.

The search revealed a quantity of suspected class B drugs and what appeared to be to be a viable firearm.

Firearms officers attended the scene to make safe the firearms, but an on-scene forensic examination revealed it to be an extremely realistic replica.

A man, 43, and a woman, 22, were arrested at the scene and remain in police custody.
