Police were alerted to the shooting on Dore Road, Dore, at around 7pm yesterday following reports that shots were fired towards a house.

Nobody was injured in the incident but a window was damaged.

Dore Road is renowned as one of the most exclusive postcodes in Sheffield and across South Yorkshire, where some of the most expensive properties can be found, including million pound homes.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Detectives are investigating after shots were fired towards a property in Dore, Sheffield, yesterday evening.

“Shortly after 7pm, it’s believed two shots were fired at a house on Dore Road, causing damage to a window.

“Nobody was injured in the incident and a police cordon remains in place while officers carry out enquiries.”
