Helicopter, ambulance and police rush to Sheffield park after boy is stabbed

Emergency services were seen rushing to Endcliffe Park this evening (July 24) after a boy was stabbed.

Police officers were called to Endcliffe Park in Sheffield just before 6.45pm this evening following reports that a large group had gathered inside the park at an unlicensed music event.

On arrival at the scene a 15-year-old boy who had been stabbed in the shoulder was pulled from the river. He was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution, his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The group were dispersed by local neighbourhood officers and there will be an increased police presence in the area tonight.

Witnesses reported seeing emergency services ‘rushing’ into the park, with a large crowd of people running towards the incident as well.

An air ambulance was seen landing at the scene, however it is believed this was not used.
