Girl 'begged' man accused of raping her to let her go, Sheffield jury told
“He said we had to do it. I don’t think we had any option”
A teenager said she “begged for hours” for a man accused of rape to let her go.
A trial is underway at Sheffield Crown Court for two men charged with trafficking and sexually abusing seven underage girls after allegedly plying them with alcohol, cash, drugs and e-cigarettes.
The girls, some of whom were known to each other, were allegedly targeted through Snapchat and abused by defendants Bawan Harwe, 28, and Sharam Muhamadi, 20, in 2024.

Evidence from Girl F
At court on Thursday, May 21, the jury heard evidence from a teenager who said she felt “trapped” and “panicked” while pleading for Harwe to let her and her passed-out friend leave after he abused them.
The jurors were played a video interview the alleged victim, designated Girl F, who was 14 when she was allegedly raped by Harwe, gave to police.
She described being introduced to him on Snapchat, and in conversations thought Harwe sounded “lonely” and “about 18.”
But when she and another of the alleged victims went to meet the 27-year-old, she told police she was immediately scared.
She said: “When I saw him I thought ‘I don’t like this, I’m really scared.’
“Then he told us to get in his car.”
At a Doncaster property, the girl and another of the alleged victims were plied with alcohol and repeatedly asked for sex, the court heard.
“He said we had to do it,” said Girl F. “I don’t think we had any option.
“I thought if I let it happen we’ll just get out of here and forget about it.”
But Girl F said they were not allowed to leave, and described how later in the night the other alleged victim was “basically passed out” and could only reply to questions “like she was asleep.”
Girl F said: “I thought, ‘how am I going to get out of this house with her collapsed and passed out?’
“I started panicking, and [Harwe] proper screamed at me.
“[Harwe] kept trying to touch me. I was literally begging him to stop, but every time I pushed off he tried again.
“At first I just thought ‘get it over with,’ but even afterwards he just wouldn’t let us go.
“I felt properly trapped.
“I must have been begging him for literally hours to help me get [the other girl] out but he just kept saying ‘10 more minutes, one more minute’.
“He was stroking her hair while she was passed out, saying ‘you’re my beautiful best friend, you have gorgeous eyes’. He started telling us he loved us. It was right weird.”
The charges faced by the defendants
The defendants are accused of a total of 21 offences between them, with both men accused of multiple counts of rape and trafficking charges.
They deny the charges.
However, Harwe, 28, of no fixed abode, has pleaded guilty to one count of rape committed against a 12-year-old.
He denies one further count of rape of a child under 13, along with five counts of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15; two counts of adult meeting a girl under 16 years of age following grooming; two counts of false imprisonment and six counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view of exploitation.
Muhamadi, now aged 20, of Hexthorpe Road, Doncaster, denies one count of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15; one count of rape of a girl under 13 and three counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view of exploitation.
The trial continues.
