Gunman still at large after Sheffield shooting, as police continue investigation

Police maintained a presence in the area over the weekend

The man who fired a gun at a house in a Sheffield neighbourhood at the weekend is still at large, say police.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed this morning that no arrests have yet been made, as detectives continue their investigations into the incident, which happened on Elmham Road, Darnall.

The street was cordoned off for hours while police were at the scene on Saturday, after a gun had been fired at a house on the street that morning.

Police maintained a presence in the area over the weekend, with patrols to reassure the community.

Police understand that a gun was fired between 10.30am and 11am.

However, officers say they were not called called out until 12.39pm the same day.
