A haul of guitars worth £10,000 has been stolen from a shop in Sheffield.

Burglars broke into Guitar Shack on Glossop Road, Broomhill, in the early hours of today.

They got into the shop through a toilet window between 3am and 3.20am.

The burglars stole 17 instruments, including a rare Gibson 1974 Gold Top, a blue Fender Stratocaster American, an Aria and a green Paul Reed Smith guitar.

The shop opened six months ago after owner Tom Jackson moved from South Road, Walkley.

Police want to hear from anyone offered a guitar for sale or with information about the raid.
