Further Sheffield teenager due at court following alleged murder of Ramey Salem

A further Sheffield teenager is to appear at crown court after the alleged murder of Ramey Salem who died after a reported shooting.

Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on November 30 how Ricardo Nkanyezi, aged 18, of Morgan Avenue, near Shirecliffe, Sheffield, has been charged with murder after the death of 20-year-old Ramey Salem.

Mr Salem was allegedly shot in a property on Grimesthorpe Road South, Burngreave, Sheffield, on November 16, and later died, according to South Yorkshire Police.

Mr Nkanyezi has also been charged with possessing a weapon designed to discharge a projectile and with conspiring with others to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

His case was committed to Sheffield Crown Court on December 2 and it has been adjourned for a Plea, Trial and Preparation Hearing on December 14.

Sheffield Magistrates’ Court previously heard how Jabari Fanty, aged 18, of Broadhead Road, Deepcar, Sheffield, and Aaron Yanbak, aged 18, of Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, have also been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Ramey Salem.

Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbak have also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder at Osgathorpe Park, Pitsmoor, on October 31, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life between October 3 and November 17 and to possessing an offensive weapon.

Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbak’s case was committed to Sheffield Crown Court and also adjourned until December 14 with a provisonal trial date of July 5.
