Dad-of-three Danny Irons, aged 32, was knifed in a violent attack on Fretson Green, Manor, in the early hours of Saturday.

His killer remains at large until today.

Now Danny's cousin, Stacey Irons has set up a crowdfunding page on the Go Fund Me website to help with the funeral costs.

She wrote: "I'm Stacey, a very close cousin of Dan's. Unfortunately, three days ago, I received the tragic news that my beloved cousin had lost his life due to an unimaginable murder.

"Myself and his family are in so much shock and going through the worst heartache and pain we couldn't have ever imagined.

"I am asking very kindly from the bottom of my heart for any amount of donation to help his loving mum and family give him the best send off possible.

"Any amount we are truly grateful for and respect each and everyone of you for taking the time out to do this.

"I hope to raise as much as possible for a kind beloved father, son, brother, uncle and cousin at this very sad time."

In her tribute to Danny, his mum Christine Irons 51, said she is still struggling to come to terms with her family’s loss.

She said she is desperate for answers about Danny’s death and why he was targeted on the estate where he grew up.
