A SHEFFIELD man murdered on his way home from a night out is to be laid to rest next week.
Jamie Stuart, 19, of Orchard Close, Ecclesfield, was stabbed as he walked home from The White Horse pub on Halifax Road. He was found slumped on the pavement on Holgate Avenue, Parson Cross. Medics were unable to save him and he died at the Northern General Hospital.
A funeral service is to be held at St Mary’s Church, Ecclesfield, on Monday at 11am.
Donations made in the young man’s memory will be donated to Leukaemia Research because his father David, 52, of Colley Crescent, Parson Cross, is fighting the disease.
Danny Robert Parr, 19, of Broom Close, Rotherham, has been charged with murder and is remanded in custody.
