Fundraiser for Sheffield pub damaged after three-car crash outside

A silver Daihatsu and a red Nissan Micra were involved in a smash outside The Chantrey Arms on Chesterfield Road, Woodseats, at around 7.45pm yesterday.
A silver Toyota Corolla, which was parked on the road, was then hit by one of the cars involved in the initial smash and one of the vehicles ended up on its roof.

Hide AdThe Chantrey pub was damaged in the incident and a fundraiser has now been launched to help the landlord.
Organiser Val Clarke said: “The Chantrey Arms was smashed into during a road traffic accident last night. Thankfully no one was hurt.
“I’m pretty sure that times are tough enough for our local businesses right now, without them having to rebuild after something like this as well, especially at Christmas time.
“Let’s show them what local community spirit can do guys.”
South Yorkshire Police said the force received reports of ‘fighting’ at the crash scene.

Hide AdOne man sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to hospital.
The road was closed for over four hours while enquiries were carried out at the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
South Yorkshire Police said emergency services were alerted to the collision at 7.45pm yesterday.
The force said there were reports that the drivers of the vehicles involved were fighting.
Chesterfield Road was closed for over four hours.
