Friends and family to say final farewell to tragic Doncaster toddler

Friends and family are to gather today to say a final farewell to a two-year-old Doncaster boy whose death is at the centre of a murder probe.

Keigan Ronnie O’Brien, aged two, died on January 9 and his mum and her partner are accused of his murder.

The funeral for the tragic tot is to be held at St Laurence’s Church, Village Street, Adwick-le-Street, Doncaster, this morning.

There will be a procession to the church and then to Rose Hill crematorium afterwards.

Sarah O'Brien, 32 and Martin Currie, 36, both of Bosworth Road, Adwick, are remanded in custody after being charged with Keigan’s murder.

The toddler was taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest and died the following day.

A post mortem examination revealed he died of head injuries.

An online crowdfunding appeal to help pay for Keigan’s funeral raised over £5,000.
