More than 100 officers took part in Wednesday’s day of action, executing 21 warrants as 10 people were arrested and a gun, drugs and thousands of pounds in cash was recovered.

Speaking that day, DCI Paul Murphy said the raids would continue throughout the afternoon into the evening and over the next couple of days.

“It may seem occasionally that the police are not doing everything they can but they are working tirelessly in the background that is sometimes unseen work that then results in activity like this,” he said at the time.
